After reading the Feb 2017 issue of CMM and seeing the write-up on the CBR600 F-X I thought I’d share with you what I have done with mine (with lots of help from Del’s Motorcycles and Tyres in Preston, Cirencester). The bank balance is somewhat lighter but worth it. See the before and after photos! It’s a 1999 CBR600FX (F4) with 26k on the clocks.

Since purchase in April 2015 I have added a Simmi exhaust can with stainless steel Black Widow downpipes, fitted crash bungs, Renthal sprockets, JT performance gold chain, carbon effect mirrors, tinted airblade double-bubble screen, CNC levers, LED indicators, wavy front and rear discs, Goldfren sintered pads, braided lines all round.
It’s also had a valve clearance and full service, caliper pistons and seals, a rebuilt rear shock and re-valve also new head race bearings, wheels sandblasted and painted white and some other bits painted! I also race a 1989 VFR750 RC24 with the Earlystocks motorcycle race club! Great mag! Keep up the good work!
