Stefan Maslaczyk of Kendal, Cumbria, has sent us this picture of his 1976 Honda 550 F1 Super Sport looking over the Lythe Valley en route to the Lake District.
“I bought it nearly four years ago from the Bristol Show,” he writes. “The tank panels have been resprayed but the bike is otherwise unrestored, and the bike is superb testament to Honda quality.” The frame still has the original stickers on it, and none of the fasteners has corroded.
Our contributor says it’s a good handling bike with a very relaxed riding position – a great usable classic. Among the few small jobs he’s done on it is fitting a pair of NJB racing shocks.
