Description
If you were looking to acquire a 50cc trail-orientated Suzuki, it’d really make sense to know which one you were buying. Amazingly the basic model and its nomenclature have been around for 45 years and even the last of the breed first appeared 15 years ago which immediately qualifies it for full on classic status as per the VJMC’S mandate. Suzuki’s TS50X comes with a lot of history and it would be both wrong and remiss if we simply skipped over it. The first 50cc bike to carry the TS appellation rolled off production lines of Hamamatsu some time in late 1970 for the 1971 model year. Fitted with the classic disc valve motor it confusingly carried the model name of Hustler. Other than cosmetic changes the bike remained substantially unaltered but was renamed the Gaucho. Circa 1978/79 the bike received a serious makeover.
